There are 17 [4 from the Scandinavia ProMod] countries accessable in Euro Truck Simulator 2. These are:

Country Bios

Austria has a blend of eastern Slovakia and southeastern Germany. Four cities [Salzburg, Linz, Innsbruck, and Wien] are only present and only the western and northern part of Austria are present.

Belgium and its two cities [Brussels and Liege] present one of the countries that will be in most of your travels across Europe.

Czech Republic has a good taste of local roads and its main road network system. It has three cities [Praha, Brno, and Ostrava] and it is also the home country headquarters of SCS Software.

Denmark [Scandinavia ProMod] is where you will always go through if you were going to Norway, Sweden, or Finland. The only way to avoid this country [if you don't want to go to Denmark for some reason] is to simply not go there. The country has seven cities [Kobenhavn, Odense, Hirtshals, Esbjerg, Aalborg, Aarhus, and Kolding] and has a blend of northern Germany, southern Norway, and western Sweden.

Finland [Scandinavia ProMod] is the smallest country [road wise] in the game with only two cities [Turku and Helsinki] and is the only country that has little to none local roads. It only has a blend of eastern Sweden and western Russia.

France and its eight cities [Calais, Lille, Paris, Reims, Metz, Strasbourg, Dijon, and Lyon] represent the only country in the game with the most tollbooths because the French do not pay road tax. In total, France has over 10 tollbooths once every 50 - 200km and has the channel tunnel.

Germany has the most cities in the game [obviously] with it being 21 [23 in the Scandinavia ProMod] and is the country where you will see the most. The Autobahn network allows the player to go up to 130km/h [81.25mph] for most of the way through Germany. Near cities, the limit will go down to 90km/h or 110km/h. The city list [including the two from Scandinavia ProMod] are: Flensburg, Burg a. Fehmarn, Berlin, Kiel, Rostock, Bremen, Hannover, Osnabruck, Magdeburg, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Koln, Dortmund, Kassel, Erfurt, Leipzig, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart, Nurnburg, Munchen, Hamburg, and Mannheim.

Hungary being featured in the new Going East DLC features two cities so far [Budapest and Debrecen] and is the beginning of expanding southwards to the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

Italy like France has tollbooths but a bit less than the amount that France has. It has three cities [Torino, Milano, and Verona] and blends Switzerland, Austrian, and French efficiency, roads, and mountains, especially the Alps. Only the north part of Italy is featured in the game.

Luxembourg is the smallest country in the game with one city: Luxembourg, its capital city. The blending is sparse, not a lot of roads, but small countries still have big packages. The country has also a good deal of loads to haul.

The Netherlands [Holland] and its three cities [Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Groningen] have many roads including the A2 dam to the north of Amsterdam for you to discover. It does not have many country roads, most of the country's roads are on the coast.

Norway [Scandinavia ProMod] has a blend of Swedish scenery and northern Denmark roads. It has eight cities [Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Odda, Gardermoen, Honefoss, and Geilo] and it comes with 90% local roads and 10% two-three lane roads including a big ring road around Oslo.

Poland has eleven cities [Szczecin, Poznan, Wroclaw, Warszawa, Gdansk, Krakow, Lublin, Katowice, Bialystol, Lodz, and Olszytn] and has been expanded to near the borders of Russia's Kaliningrad province, Lithuania, and Belarus. The scenery is very good, most of its roads are local, and there are tollbooths in the south.

Slovakia has beautiful scenery, many local roads, and three cities [Bratislava, Banska Bystrica, and Kosice]. Some roads are two lane and three lane, but the most sceneric places are its local roads and its two small villages north and south of Banska Bystrica.

Sweden has seven cities [Stockholm, Malmo, Karlstad, Jonkoping, Goteborg, Skovde, and Sodertalje] and at Sodertalje, it features Scania warehouses and the Scania test track. At Skovde, it features a Volvo warehouse, but no Volvo test track. Sweden has the most unusual two lane and three lane road system because in some places, one side will have two lanes, and the other side will have only one lane. The one lane limit is 90 kmh and the two lane limit is 110 kmh. The highest speed limit in the country is 120 kmh.

Switzerland and its three cities [Zurich, Geneve, and Bern] have barely any roads but mostly two lane and three lane roads. It has some local roads, but mostly hilly. There is one road that heads into a city to the east of Switzerland. That city is Lichtenstein's capital Vaduz but its never shown on the in-game map because Lichtenstein is too small to be modeled into the game.

United Kingdom and its eighteen cities [Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Carlisle, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Grimsby, Birmingham, Swansea, Cardiff, Cambridge, Felixstowe, Plymouth, London, Southampton, and Dover] present the second-largest city list in the game [1st being Germany with 21 [without Scandinavia ProMod or 23 with the Scandinavia ProMod] and is the only country in the game that features in left-hand drive and the only country posted in miles per hour. The other sixteen countries in the game [Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungay, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland] drive on the right-hand side of the game and the speed is posted in kilometers per hour. But, like all the other countries, it represent a challenge with right-hand steering trucks compared to the left-hand trucks on the continent and Scandinavia.

Upcoming Countries from the ProMod Team

Right now, ProMod is working on four new expansion map packs that will feature the rest of France, Spain, Ireland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Expanding the entire country list to 23 countries and possibly over 135 ciies. It is unknown if all of them will work with the Scandinavia ProMod map and the ETS2 Going East map.
